Trek of Dharamsala to Kareri Lake
Kareri Lake is situated northwest of McLeodganj and is at the foot of the Minkiani Pass. Apart from the lake’s natural beauty, the trek itself goes through beautiful forests, rural villages, and finishes at a remote temple on the banks of Kareri Lake.

Day 1 PATHANKOT – DHARAMSALA
Arriving in Pathankot early morning, we then transfer by coach to Dharamsala – the spiritual home of his Holiness the Dalai Lama. There we will be some free time today to explore this fascinating town, before we meet later in the evening for dinner and a briefing for the start of our Trek tomorrow.
DAY 2: MCLEOD GANJ TO KARERI VILLAGE
the trek is goes through the pine forests and crosses several tribal villages on the way. Kareri is a Gaddi tribal village. Overnight in Tents.
DAY 3: KARERI VILLAGE TO KARERI LAKE
Trail goes through mixed forests of oak, rhododendron and pine. First 2 Km is a level walk and then there is sleep ascent along Kareri Nullah Stream which has to be crossed over a number of times over improvised wooden bridges. Overnight in Tent
DAY 4: KARERI LAKE TO KARERI VILLAGE
After a short from the lake is a steep descent through the will came back to Kareri Village. Over night stay at Kareri Village.
DAY 5: KARERI VILLAGE TO MCLEOD GANJ
this will be the last day of the Tour. Early in the morning after having breakfast the group will leave back for Mcleodganj.
Day 6: DHARAMSALA -PATHANKOT
We have a free morning to further explore this magical town – why not visit the Tibetan market or take a visit to one of the majestic monasteries. In the afternoon, we take the transfer back to Pathankot train station to catch the overnight sleeper train back to Delhi.
